We’re delighted to share a behind-the-scenes look at the recent updates at No.1 The Lily Pad, one of our much-loved holiday cottages. Over the past few months, we’ve been carefully refreshing this charming property to make it even more comfortable, stylish and welcoming for guests, all while preserving the cosy character that makes The Lily Pad so popular.

A refreshed kitchen, ready for your stay

The kitchen has had a full refresh, designed to make cooking and relaxed meals a real pleasure. We’ve fitted new work surfaces, along with brand-new drawers and cupboard doors, all finished with soft-close mechanisms for a quiet, high-quality feel. A new fridge has been installed, giving you plenty of space for longer stays, and we’ve upgraded the sink and extractor to create a cleaner, brighter working area. To finish things off, the kitchen has been fully restocked with new cookware, plates, cups and glassware, so everything feels fresh, practical and ready from the moment you arrive.

Comfort has been at the heart of this renovation. Throughout The Lily Pad you’ll now find new sofas, inviting you to curl up after a day of exploring. We’ve also invested in new mattresses, bedding and towels, ensuring a great night’s sleep and hotel-quality comfort for every guest.

The bedrooms and staircase have been fitted with new carpets, adding warmth underfoot and a softer, more luxurious feel, while new bedside tables and lamps create relaxing, well-lit spaces to unwind.

We’ve also refreshed the atmosphere throughout the cottage with updated lighting, along with new wall décor and artwork to add character and charm to each room. New blinds have been installed for both privacy and comfort, completing the look with a clean, contemporary feel while still keeping The Lily Pad warm and homely.
