Perfect for all of the Family!

Having stayed at 2 Lily Pad cottages for the second time with my family over Christmas I cannot thank Jane and Andrew enough for the welcome we received from them once again.

Trip of a Lifetime!

I stayed with a group of friends from the United States at The Lily Pad Cottages for the week of Burghley Horse Trials 2017, and Jane and Andrew could not have been better hosts! There is NOTHING I would change about our stay – the cottage was clean and well appointed, the beds were comfortable (so important after a long day), the grounds were beautiful, and the town was absolutely picturesque. You must walk down to The Black Horse pub, the food was AMAZING!!!! I love Lily Pad Cottages, and cannot wait to go back!

Comfortable Accommodation in a Beautiful Setting

We stayed in no.7, there were 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children, plus our greyhound Clara. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. Nassington and the surrounding villages are lovely, a welcome change for us city dwellers. The pool room we used fully, it really is a lovely bright space for fun and entertaining. No.7 is very well thought out accommodation, and would be perfect if you had someone in your party with mobility issues, or part of your group who welcome being separate from everyone else sleeping upstairs, as we had, with Grandma enjoying her peaceful downstairs room.

Our first visit — exactly what we needed! Relaxing time had by all!! We shall see you November for round two! Bonfire a gogo! Em, Lizzie, Dan, Becky, Andrew and Joseph.

This is our third time staying here and again we have all had a great time. The children love the pool and the cottage was very clean and well equipped. Weather was superb…. It’s a shame there was no wind for sailing!! We’ll be back next year, Thanks The Bridge Family, Surrey.

Thanks for a wonderful stay, fabulous accommodation, the kids especially enjoyed the digger ride.

Places we recommend for families with 5 year olds and younger. Hamerton Zoo — over 100 animals and very helpful stay, good picnic sites and play area. Burghley House — garden a must but do take towels and change of clothes as kids get very wet. Sacrewell Farm (tractor ride fun but a bit bouncy, one year old especially enjoyed it). The Falcon, Fotheringhay — kid friendly staff and menu. Once again thanks for making our family re union of 3 generations such fun. Bells, Wests and Dahlbergs.

Great time had by all, humans and animals alike. Wonderful setting and a very warm welcome. Dogs are worn out, by all the walking and gorgeous countryside and kids are worn out by all the swimming. Thanks for a lovely place to stay, so close to where I grew up and near enough to visit relatives. Loved the pool and access to some great walks.
